 Our SHARKS in action



Great inaugural Maxi Plouf 30km event yesterday!
Conditions: water temperature 19C (wetsuits optional as per FINA rules), no jellyfish (except for 1 that stung Julie Newton ’s arm - nothing bad), easterly wind 5-20 knots, some sections of the course were choppy at times.

OFFICIAL RESULTS:
Julie Newton: 1st solo non-wetsuit female finisher in 9:24’.  
Anna-Carin Nordin: 2nd solo non-wetsuit female finisher in 9:52’, and first swimmer to complete Manhattan 20 Bridges and Antibes Maxi Plouf 30km 1 week apart (Manhattan on Sat 1 Jun and Maxi Plouf on Sun 9 Jun) in a total time of 7:50’+9:52’=18:42’. 
Marco Murari: 1st solo non-wetsuit male finisher in 8:44’. 

Relay: 
Salvo Andronico: relay wetsuit swimmer who completed the first 10km in the quickest time of the day of 2:29’
Jon Christensen: relay wetsuit swimmer who completed the second 10km segment in the quickest time of the day of 2:37’
Raul Gnaga: relay non-wetsuit swimmer who completed the third 10km segment in the quickest time of the day in 2:41’

The Luxembourg Sharks relay: Salvo Andronico, Jon Christensen and Raul Gnaga swam the 30km (10km each) in 7:47’, quickest time of the day for 30km

Jean-luc Boulanger:  finish the swim in a wetsuit in 8:41’

 Great performance achieved by both of our Sharks, at BestFest!



 At the end of a full week ofcompetition, our guys, Alexis D’Espoisito and Bjorn Moller, placed 1st and 3rdoverall, at the Colonia Classic combo swim (5km+1.5km+10km/7km) showing onceagain their strong level of fitness and the big heart that they put in eachtime they race. 
Bjorn and Alexis also got medals from the othersingle races. (below the links to all results)It has been an intense week ofcompetition but not only, Alexis and Bjorn had the opportunity to attend to some fantasticclinics, the first called "Blinded by Aesthetics" with Swim Smooth: The World’s MostPassionate Swim Coaching! and Olympicsilver medalist Jazz Carlin 🥈discussing why you don’t need to necessarily look pretty to be effective orefficient, especially in the open water.  
The second clinic, just theday before the longest swim competition, 7k and 10k, Paul Newsome (Swim Smooth head coach), AdamYoung and the Olympic Silver Medalist Jazz Carlin provided an hour of techniqueand technical input in the sea.Third clinic, just forour two Sharks has been provided be Anna-Karin, the world famous ex Olympic swimmerand now head coach of @simcoachen, where they had the opportunity toexperiment different strokes techniques.Swimfest was been a great experience.Congrats once again and looking forward to newadventures! Here the full results links:

 The Open Water season has officially begun for our club



The Open Water season has officially begun for our club, with the first meet in Strasbourg. Our 3 Sharks posted great swims which gives them confidence for the ultramarathon relay swim in Antibes, planned at the begining of June. At this race, for Men 50+, our Sharks placed 1st Salvo Andronico and 5th Jon Christensen
